Park Notes: Red Rocks Canyon Open Space has a fenced off-leash dog area. There are two off leash dog hiking loops, the upper and lower dog loops. They are located south of the main entrance. Both loops combined are approximately 5/8 mile. The lower loop is a half mile from the parking lot. The upper loop is a mile long loop. Only on these trails can dogs run off-leash. On the other trails in the park, dogs must be on a leash at all times. Both of the main parking lots have a porta potty.

The Red Rock Canyon Open Space is located along Highway 24. From I-25 take the Cimarron Street exit west. Cimarron Street will turn into Highway 24. After the 31st light, turn left onto Ridge Road. Red Rock Canyon will be on the south side of the street. The parking lot is located at the end of Ridge Road.
