Park Notes: Berkeley Dog Park is an off leash dog park in Denver, CO. It has a separate section for small/timid dogs to run around. It's much smaller than the main area. It has four large water containers in a wagon available to fill up with water to keep in the park. There is a water fountain spigot outside the dog park near the entry. During the winter months it will be winterized so bring your own water during the colder months. For their safety, no children under 12. The ground cover is a thick gravel / dirt / pea gravel. It makes it a little slower for the humans to walk around in and not the greatest for playing fetch. There's a shelter and a few trees that provide shade.

Poop Bags:This dog park has poop bag stations, but it's always good to bring your own in case they're out.

  1. Great Park I really liked the Berkeley Dog Park, mostly for all the activities that surround the dog park. The path around the lake is great for getting a little extra exercise, although the dogs will need to be on a leash for that. The park is usually pretty crowded, even on a weekday morning. It's not the best dog park for playing fetch, but my dogs enjoyed running around and sniffing everything. The ground cover is all sand, pea gravel, and dirt. The pups shouldn't get too messy on a wet day. It has a water station at the front of the park, a separate little section for smaller dogs, and benches & rocks to take a seat on. There is one shelter and a few large trees to find some needed shade on the hot summer days.
