  1. Aggressive dogs We have a new hound we have had several weeks and I have been bringing her to the dog park several times a week. Usually there is no one there and I wish there was because she loves dogs. However, in the past couple of weeks I have brought her three times and had to leave due to very aggressive pit bull dogs. All were intact and immediately jumped her. Today was the worse. If my son had not been with me and bringing her in on the leash (she weighs 53 lbs), she would have been mauled by a pit not on a lease. As soon as we started walking in the owner started calling him to come to him. He knew he was aggressive and he had another dog (lab) there. I'm sure all these pits are used for breeding but I do not believe an intact male should be allowed. Pits can be babies. One of Lily's best friends at the park is a pit and she is a sweetheart. I just wish something could be done.
