Parking: Westminster Hills Off-Leash Dog Park has a small parking lot off of Simms Street & 105th Drive. The parking lot is not very big so I imagine on weekends it overflows to street parking on Simms Street. There's also another parking lot on the south side of the park off of W. 100th Ave, west of Simms Street. The parking lot is about the same size as the other.

Ground Cover: Dirt/Gravel Sand Weeds

Park Notes: Westminster Hills Off-Leash Dog Park is an off-leash dog park in Westminster, CO. PLEASE NOTE, this park is only partially fenced. There is no gate at the entryway and the park is 422 acres so you won't want to let your dog off-leash if it doesn't respond well to voice commands. You will have a heck of a time catching it if it doesn't. There are people who keep their dogs on leashes here. Since the park is open space, watch out for snakes and coyotes in the park. The only drinkable water available at the park is near the entrance, to the south. There are a couple benches close to the entryway with pergola above it to provide a little shade and a couple other trees provide shade. Otherwise the park is a bunch of trails that go all directions. Depending on the time of year, there is a canal for the dogs to swim in. There are two porta potties in the 105th Dr. parking lot.

Poop Bags:This dog park has poop bag stations, but it's always good to bring your own in case they're out.

  1. Great for hiking This park is great for us dogs and our humans to get exercise. One important note is that the park is not fully enclosed. From the parking lot there is no gate. And the park is so large so we must listen to our humans and stay close to them. I would not recommend this park for any dog that doesn't listen to their mum. There are trails that go many directions and they seem to go on forever. It's great for making the fireworks go off on my mums fitbit watch. On a hot day I'd be on the lookout for snakes. Also there are warnings for coyotes probably mostly around dawn and dusk. In the summer there is a canal for us to cool off in and go for a swim. I always run right to it. There's a large tree near the water for shade, otherwise there is not much shade in the rest of the park. There is a water fountain once you walk in and on the left and a couple porta potties in the parking lot for our humans.
