Park Notes: Forsberg Iron Spring Dog Park is an off-leash dog park in Lakewood, CO. The parking lot can get full during weekends sharing it with the bikers & hikers for William Frederick Hayden Park. There are restrooms near the parking lot for the humans. It's a short walk to the dog park.

This park has two sections, but neither one of them is designated for small or timid dogs. The park is a lot of gravel/dirt so it can get quite muddy after it rains or snows. There are a couple water fountains for the dogs and their humans. They don't always work (or they are winterized) so it's good to bring your own water. There is an agility course on one side that includes jumps, teeter totter, tube, and ramp. And Trails on both sides for the humans to walk around the park and get some exercise with their dogs.

Poop Bags:This dog park has poop bag stations, but it's always good to bring your own in case they're out.

  1. Large Park Forsberg Iron Spring Dog Park has 2 large sections. Both sides are for any of my buddies, large or small. There's a water fountain near the front gate entry so I can grab a drink on my way in or out. I get a little hot on a warm day as neither side has much shade or shelter. Both sides can get pretty muddy after a good rain or snow so my mum has to towell me off before we go home. The larger side on the left has an agility course for the me to play on (It includes a seesaw, tunnel, walk ramp, weave poles, and a few different height jumps), but I'd much rather chase my ball and bring it back to my mum. Both sides have a trail that runs along the perimeter so the humans can get some steps in for their fitbits. The parking lot isn't very big and it's shared with the bikers & hikers that go over to William Frederick Hayden Park so on nice days on a weekend, the parking lot may fill up fast. There is a bathroom for the humans just east of the parking lot.
